Dr Brian Garrett- B.V.Sc
Brian took over Belmont Veterinary Hospital in 2005 allowing John Newell (previous owner) more time to concentrate on artificial breeding.

Brian has been at Belmont Vet since 2002. He graduated in 1992 from Melbourne University and spent the next 8 years working in England and traveling world wide. Brian has a particular interest in all aspects of surgery and oncology, (treatment of cancer).
Outside of work, Brian enjoys Scuba diving, photography and horse riding.

Dr Peter Yore - B.V.Sc,
Peter joined Belmont Veterinary Hospital in 1983 from Sandown Veterinary Clinic (Melbourne) with a special interest in the Racing Greyhound. He is gifted with a relaxed teaching style, and much of his presentation as a keynote speaker at the Post Graduate Committee in Veterinary Science conference on Greyhounds that year was based on his original observation and research. He has presented clinical papers at many conferences since this time. The past few years has seen a natural extension from greyhounds to Canine Sports Medicine are to be found in his The four hour video "The Racing Greyhound" is still considered as a major contribution to Greyhound knowledge.
Peter is accredited with The International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. (I.V.A.S.) and is particularly skilled in Manipulation and Chiropractic adjustments.

Dr. Ross Beatty B.V.Sc
Ross has been practicing veterinary science since 1976. He was in partnership, in a practice for 25 years and is now enjoying regular part time work at Belmont Veterinary Hospital. Ross is interested in all medical and surgical problems in dogs and cats.

When not working Ross enjoys playing golf badly!

Dr.Kylie Grant B.V.Sc

Kylie joined Belmont in November 2008 after graduating from Sydney. Kylie has a special interest in canine surgery .

More recently Kylie has taken to the track and can be seen at  Birmingham Gardens as our latest vet to become a race track official.

When not racing around, Kylie is a keen rower and enjoys walking her dogs, greyhound called Emma and Roxy the poodle .

Dr. Alpha Au B.V.Sc
 Alpha joined Belmont Vets in January 2010 after graduating from Sydney. Alpha has a particular interest in dermatology and small animal surgery. When not working, Alpha enjoys a game of soccer or a trip to the gym.

Paula Garrett - Veterinary Nurse
Paula emigrated to Australia in 2000, to join Brian and a life in Australia.
When she's not busy chasing paperwork, she looks after their 3 amazing children Benn, Beth and Harry and their small menagerie.

Jen Witt - Veterinary Nurse
Jen started working at Belmont Vets in March 2003. She is a full time employee and enjoys surgery and running puppy pre-school classes.
At home she likes to cuddle her 4 cats Kenny, Quilla, Drake and Tripp. She also has pet lizards. One day she would love to work with exotic animals.

Tate Young - Veterinary Nurse
Tate joined Belmont Veterinary Hospital in December 2005. Previously working with horses on a small stud and at the track.

When she is not working, she enjoys riding her horses and going to the beach her dog, Teds.

Janette Cocks - Veterinary Nurse
Janette joined the Belmont's team of nurses in June 2006.
Her special interests include anaesthesia, assisting surgery and post operative care.
She has recently adopted an unfortunate injured greyhound pup called Riley.

At home or at work, the animals keep her busy.

Amanda Botham - Veterinary Nurse
In May 2008 Amanda joined the team of veterinary nurses and has recently completed Cert IV in vet nursing.

Her special interests are in surgery and anaesthetics.
Out of work she enjoys playing soccer and looking after her budgie. Jordon.

Tahnee Hayes -Trainee Veterinary Nurse
 Tahnee joined our team of vet nurses in December 2009 and is our new trainee. Tahnee begun studying Vet Nursing at Tafe Cert 4 early 2010. Tahnee enjoys caring for all the pets in hospital and when not at work she enjoys riding her Paint horse called Bubba.
